Description
This surrealistic piece by Kathy Kelly depicts an interstellar struggle. The work is both feminine and mystical with cool colors of blue, green, fading to black.
I have always enjoyed the works of Salvador Dali and later, the works of painter and digital artists Marco Escobedo and Yossi Kotler.
Surrealism was a cultural and political movement that began in the early 1920's. Developed largely out of the Dada activities during World War 1, the movement started primarily in Paris and spread across the globe affecting visual arts, literature, film, music, and philosophy.
Freud's work with free association, dream analysis, and the unconscious was of utmost importance to the Surrealists in developing methods to liberate imagination. Freedom from false rationality, restrictive customs, and structures was an important aspect of the movement. Consequently, it was often aligned with anarchism.

A fabulous and most imaginary image of perhaps the merging of aliens with humans, or of human made artificial intelligence with aliens. Anything is possible in the Vastness of the Universe ! :-)
