While in Antequera Spain, I visited the Lobo Park - a wolf sanctuary where 4 different subspecies live on a large nature reserve. The park had Canadian, Iberian, Alaskan wolf packs amongst others. There among the rocks, I photographed this shy female taking refuge from the heat.
Wolves figure prominently in the mythology of nearly every Native American tribe. In most Native cultures, Wolf is considered a medicine being associated with courage, strength, loyalty, and success at hunting.
