Description
Few people can resist the up-turned face of a puppy. They make us smile, make strange noises, and say “awww,” I'm no exception, especially if that puppy happens to be a Welsh Corgi. I photographed this little fellow at a herding event in Westminster Maryland. Too young to be tested in the ring with the sheep, this pup was fascinated by the ducks.
Smallest of the herding breed, Welsh Corgis are smart, independent workers who thrive on having a job. Owners of this breed often find themselves, and those they live with, being herded or watched very closely. Needless to say. "privacy" is not in this breed's vocabulary. Often found in their owners lap or by close by their feet, this breed has a strong need to be an active part of the family.
