Description
Meet "Nibbles." My husband's name for this cute Eastern Chipmunk given he is sitting on a stump holding his tail to his mouth. These adorable creatures are regular visitors to our bird feeder and gardens. Lately, they have become quite brave and even the squirrels have a hard time running them off our back deck. I used two soft textures/backgrounds to give the piece a rich "painterly" feel.
While chipmunks are solitary creatures, they can be quite vocal as they gather food or look for a mate. They get their name from the "chip-chip" sound that they make.
